"Nox - intelligent door lock that saves lives".
Rescue operations currently proceed as follows: an alarm is triggered via a home emergency call system.
This is forwarded to the rescue coordination center via the home emergency call center or relatives. An ambulance is dispatched from there. When the emergency caller arrives at the house or apartment, the person seeking help is often unable to open the door or there is no relative there to do so. However, according to §13 of the German Basic Law, the emergency services are not allowed to open the door. The next step is to call the police and the fire department to open the door in accordance with the law. A process that costs valuable minutes in order to initiate life-saving measures.
On average, such an operation takes 45 to 90 minutes. The start-up NOX AAL Technologies wants to solve this fear for many senior citizens. Co-founder and CEO Johannes Mai experienced such a situation himself and developed the intelligent door lock "Nox" as a result. The start-up, which was founded in Bergen auf Rügen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, is planning its market launch for early 2024.
